Always wanted to own my own or see a restaurant open that served Detroit style pizza. Love coming back to Detroit for this! Glad to see you are doing mail order, we’ll see how it tastes!

We only live a mile away from the SCS location, and I have the whole family addicted now! I’ve been lifelong to Michigan, but am looking out of state for work with things being so lean here. The Detroit Style Pizza is one thing I’ll miss. (And as I’ve mentioned, your pies come out consistently better than the Cloverleaf Bar!)

BTW, Shawn, this WordPress theme looks really nice here! Glad to see it came out looking good! I’m hoping it was as easy to work with as I said it was…

Congrats on the wins in Vegas, and take care!

I grew up in Waterford/Pontiac area and have yet to find a pizza place that can come close to the style I grew up with. With 2 years until I retire from the military, my wife and I are looking at business opportunities in WA state. I don’t know if I can convincer her to open a restaurant, but DSP is definitely a possibility.

I remember back in 1973 at a small pizza place in Romulus called Dino’s Pizzeria. They served a detroit style pizza even back then. I vividly remember this due to the way it was prepared as a pan style pizza and more than crispy sides and awesome sauce. I believe it was the best pizza I ever had.

I experienced Detroit style pizza for the first time last week while traveling. I’m hooked. It was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I’m back home and there isn’t a Detroit style pizza place anywhere nearby.

Sad but true….. Coney dogs and Pizza keep me coming back to Detroit more often than family and friends.

I used to live in Grosse Pointe Farms and we always went to club 500. My gosh that was the best Detroit style pizza that I ever ate! I wish there was a way to get a copy of their recipes. Absolutely awesome. My sister is trying to get me to open a place here in Massachusetts. I just bought the kit to give it a try and see if I can come up with something close to the way I remember it tasting. Ah the good old days!

I grew up on Cloverleaf Pizza from 1955 till now. It was always the best and if we were lucky we got to go to Buddy’s at 6 & Conant. We didn’t know anything else but we sure do now.
